Resist is formulated with a sequestering agent (a chemical surrounding process) that suspends and inactivates mineral elements which may cause stains and scale, damage equipment and piping, and reduce the efficiency of heat exchangers and filters. Resist will prevent the precipitation of mineral elements such as iron, manganese, copper and calcium which may also cause water discoloration or cloudiness.
